Dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the Kalandri community, Model Village has hosted annual medical camps since 2006. RK Trust has been instrumental in these efforts, initially focusing on eye care and expanding to provide a broad range of essential medical services. To date, over 1,200 cataract surgeries have been performed, significantly enhancing vision and quality of life for many individuals. These initiatives reflect a strong commitment to comprehensive healthcare and support for the community’s needs.
In 2023, we introduced orthopedic medical assistance alongside our 16th Eye Camp. This unique combination allowed patients to receive comprehensive care, addressing both their vision and orthopedic needs. The camp was held at the Old Bus Station, Kalandri, and saw a significant turnout, underscoring the community's need for such services
Our 15th Eye Camp in 2022 featured the Hikvaari Gaadi, an innovative mobile unit designed to enhance outreach to remote areas. This initiative ensured that even the most inaccessible populations received essential eye care services, including cataract surgeries and eye examinations.
The 14th Eye Camp, conducted on December 23, 2021, saw a massive turnout of 450 people. With the help of the Arogya Setu App, 350 double vaccination certificates were authenticated, and 47 patients underwent successful cataract surgeries at Global Hospital, Mount Abu. This camp highlighted the importance of integrating technology with healthcare to enhance service delivery.
In 2020, our 13th Eye Camp included specialized services for disabled individuals, ensuring a more inclusive healthcare approach. This initiative marked a significant step towards addressing the diverse health needs of the community.
Our 12th Eye Camp in 27 December 2018 continued our tradition of providing free eye care services. The camp focused on cataract surgeries and eye examinations, furthering our mission to restore vision and improve the quality of life for the Kalandri community.
